A FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Can a single-phase 220V inverter output three-phase 380V?

A

No. A single-phase 220 V inverter can only output a three-phase voltage of 0–220 V; the inverter itself does not have a step-up function.

Q

What happens when the input experiences overvoltage?

A

Input overvoltage refers to a situation in which the voltage applied to the input of an electronic device or system exceeds the maximum voltage rating that the device is designed to withstand during normal operation. This phenomenon commonly occurs in a variety of electronic and electrical systems, including power supplies, signal-processing circuits, motor-control systems, communication equipment, and sensor interfaces.
Overvoltage at the input can, in mild cases, cause a trip, and in severe cases, damage the internal circuitry of the inverter.

Q

What should you do if the inverter experiences overvoltage?

A

1. Stop the equipment: When the inverter detects overvoltage, immediately stop the equipment to prevent further damage to the equipment or the system. The equipment can be stopped using the emergency stop button on the inverter’s control panel or via the control system.

2. Check the power supply: Overvoltage may be caused by issues with the power supply; therefore, inspect the power cables, power transformers, and voltage regulators to ensure the stability and reliability of the power system. If any problems are detected, repair or replace the affected equipment promptly.
